East Valley Honey is a family business with family values. The seed of our business was planted when Martin peeked into his uncle’s beehives as a child and was mesmerised by what he saw.

In March 2014 we began our journey with just 20 hives. We now have 3500 hives – and the number is growing! We produce a range of products that complement our honey production and align with our passion for wellbeing, sustainability, and planet health.

We love the lifestyle and the rewards that beekeeping offers us – time together as a family and working collectively to benefit our community, our farmers, and our environment. Creativity, innovation, and a connection with nature run in our veins, and we have embraced the chance to create wonderful products in concert with nature. We care deeply about improving bee health and protecting and growing the bee population.

Our passion for excellence and our innovative approach have contributed to the growth and development of the East Valley Honey. Our commitment to quality and sustainability means that we maintain full control over all aspects of our business - from the beehives to the honey extraction process and all the way to the manufacturing and dispatch of all our products.

Our hives are based around the North Island of New Zealand - from the sunny coast of Gisborne to the rugged Tararua Ranges and we are proud to be deeply rooted in Tairāwhiti. We consider our staff and customers to be part of our extended family and will always work to ensure that East Valley Honey creates benefits for all those involved.
